Branko is an associate professor at the Faculty of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Information Technologies, University of Primorska.

He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Ljubljana. His research focuses on machine learning and data mining, including supervised and unsupervised learning, pattern discovery, clustering, and probabilistic models. His work also explores the application of these methods to large datasets and sensor networks. At UP FAMNIT, he teaches machine learning, data mining, and theoretical computer science, and coordinates the undergraduate Computer Science study programme.

Outside his academic work, he enjoys solving Rubik’s cubes and has developed an interest in speedcubing.
