All lab infrastructure is available to researchers and students, including home and visiting students, to conduct research activities at the University of Primorska.
3D Printer
A Bambu Lab H2D Combo 3D printer used for rapid prototyping, experimental components, sensor enclosures, and physical models for research and teaching activities.
Computer Cluster at UP FAMNIT
The computing cluster at UP FAMNIT consists of 24 computers. Each node includes an AMD Threadripper CPU, 32 GB of RAM, NVMe storage, and an NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti GPU.
In total, the cluster supports up to 768 parallel processes and is used for broad experimental workloads in distributed computing, AI, blockchain analysis, simulation, and scientific computing.
AI Server
The newest addition to the lab infrastructure is a powerful dual EPYC processor server with 3 NVIDIA H100 cards and 1.3 TB of RAM.
The server supports demanding AI workloads, large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, deep learning, and data-intensive scientific computing.
Supported Research Activities
The computing cluster and AI server support a broad range of research activities, from language technologies and artificial intelligence to graph analysis, simulations, and distributed computation.
